Creepy Dude

Tuesday July 18th

Ten minutes from closing, an older guy with a crazy beard and flannel comes into the lab. He goes over to an email activation terminal (which basically can't do anything besides look up email addys) and starts clicking away at it. I don't feel like dealing with him, because he's obviously a little dense. About five minutes until we close, he comes up and starts mumbling how he's [-good with psychology and astrophysics and about how us kids are whizzes with computers but we go too fast and he needs help getting into blackboard etc etc-]. I tell him he has to come in tomorrow because there's not enough time (and trying to pawn him off on Josh). He leaves. I leave.

Wednesday

Unfortunately, he shows up again. He comes up to me and asks me right away how to get into Blackboard, so right away I pull up the domain and email password resets. As I try to get him to work with me, he keeps telling me about

• Getting beat up by gangs in New Yawk
• Going to bars
• Drinking beer
• His friend who got arrested by the FBI
• How good he is at astrophysics

I try my best to ignore him and get his domain, email, and blackboard passwords reset. I manage to do this, but also talk to my boss Robert over IM about him. He decides he's enough of a nuisance to call security, and about 45 minutes after the creepy guy showed up and started bugging me, a gigantic cop walked in the lab. He came over to us, and told the creepy guy that they needed to talk, and escorted him out of the lab. About 10 minutes later they came back, he grabbed his stuff, and they left again.

I felt sorta bad, because he wasn't being malicious or anything; he was just bugging me (and creeping me out).
