Lessons Learned
From WikiPaul - Paul Swanson's wiki
Stuff I have learned in college, but not in class
- People are capable of doing to you what they've done to others
- You can get a good grade in a class without learning anything, and vice-versa
- Doing well on a test is not so much a question of how well you know the material as knowing what the teacher wants to see
- Laziness begets laziness
- If you don't do one homework, you probably won't do the next
- If you don't do any homework, you won't get better than a C
- If you don't go to class, you won't get better than a C
- Combine the two above, and you'll probably fail
- Anything you say to anyone will eventually reach the ears of those who you don't want to hear
- If you leave it unattended, they will steal it
- If you're going to induce vomiting, do it right away
Alcohol specific
- NO DRIVING
- There should always be a designated thinker
- Bring nothing you don't want destroyed
- You'll get caught eventually
- Don't drink more than you ever have had in a short period of time
- If you don't want to get drunk really fast, eat beforehand
- Definitely drink water after you stop drinking
- Don't drink alone
- Don't drink if you're depressed
