Stuff I have learned in college, but not in class

  • People are capable of doing to you what they've done to others
  • You can get a good grade in a class without learning anything, and vice-versa
  • Doing well on a test is not so much a question of how well you know the material as knowing what the teacher wants to see
  • Laziness begets laziness
  • If you don't do one homework, you probably won't do the next
  • If you don't do any homework, you won't get better than a C
  • If you don't go to class, you won't get better than a C
  • Combine the two above, and you'll probably fail
  • Anything you say to anyone will eventually reach the ears of those who you don't want to hear
  • If you leave it unattended, they will steal it
  • If you're going to induce vomiting, do it right away

Alcohol specific

  • NO DRIVING
  • There should always be a designated thinker
  • Bring nothing you don't want destroyed
  • You'll get caught eventually
  • Don't drink more than you ever have had in a short period of time
  • If you don't want to get drunk really fast, eat beforehand
  • Definitely drink water after you stop drinking
  • Don't drink alone
  • Don't drink if you're depressed
